How to install a wind turbine
Today we are going to see something really useful, we are going to see how easy it can be to install a wind turbine yourself. Whether to charge the batteries of our boat, caravan, cabin in the middle of the mountains, house or nuclear shelter.
A wind turbine will allow us to generate energy with the force of the wind, a great complement to solar panels, since a generator can generate energy at night or in bad weather.
But knowing us, we couldn’t make a normal video, and what we are going to test and install is the cheapest wind turbine we have found, and surprisingly it WORKS!
The installation will be very simple, and regardless of the pole that we use to mount the generator itself, in our case we will see how to do it with an old windsurfing mast, we will need a series of materials to do it, such as:
✅ The VEVOR FT-300 wind turbine:
🔵 On AliExpress from Spain from 126 euros: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DFyojsf
🔵 On Amazon €173: https://amzn.to/3EP7Whk
✅ Power meter:

✅ Three-way selector switch:

🔵 Amazon https://amzn.to/3ZtXCVE
✅ Other elements to taste:
🔵 3-wire cable hose with 2.5mm^2 section
🔵 Connectors
🔵 Mast
🔵 Supports
🔵 Rope to tension the mast
The basic connection will correspond to the following scheme:
Although at a minimum I recommend a three-way, three-position selector, to be able to stop the wind turbine, which would be a scheme similar to this one, and at the same time add a power meter to see how much energy it is generating:
The correct use of the three-way selector would be as follows, where the white wire is the input to the generator and the black wire is the output to the regulator:
With everything already correctly connected and working, do not expect it to give 300W, but I have seen some, not inconsiderable, 168W. Considering its price, it is 10 times cheaper than one of the “nautical” ones.
